Mary, Star of the Sea is a wonderful Catholic Community committed to worship,praise and community. We are located in San Diego, California, in the heart of downtown La Jolla. Those entering the doors of the church to see the interior of Mary, Star of the Sea will be touched by the hush of its simple beauty, and no one who leaves the church ever leaves it without a sense of the peace it imparts. The sacrament of Marriage requires a 9-month preparation period in the Diocese of San Diego. Weddings take place on Saturdays at either 11:00 am or 2:00 pm. Non-parishioners are welcome to get married at Mary, Star of the Sea, provided certain guidelines are met, which are outlined in our marriage booklet.
