Biography

Robert Marcos is a freelance photographer who specializes in wedding and fashion photography. Robert grew up in Del Mar California, attended college, and graduated with a degree in graphic design. Afterwards Robert went to work as a production assistant at Studio BFB in Hamburg Germany. During his three years with Studio BFB, Robert assisted German fashion photographer Bernd Boehm - photographing women's fashions for clients such as Spiegel Catalog, Otto Versand, and Nivea Cosmetics. In 1995 Robert photographed a series of black & white romance posters for Frontline Graphics. The posters were a huge commercial success with over 100,000 sold worldwide. The poster project gave Robert a chance to work with couples, which led to his entry into wedding photography.

Presently, Robert and his wife Laura live in dowtown San Diego. He splits his time between shooting weddings and fashion. As a wedding photographer Robert is referred by many of San Diego's most beautiful venues, including the Hotel Del Coronado, the L'Auberge Del Mar, the La Valencia Hotel, the La Jolla Woman's Club, and the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines. Robert is also referred by many Palm Springs area resorts, including The Marriott Desert Springs Resort, The Viceroy, The Miramonte Resort, The Hideaway Club, and the La Quinta Resort and Club.

Robert practices yoga and is relaxed, creative, and a pleasure to work with. His goal is to produce images with personality - images which are sensual, dynamic, and informative. Images which convey a sense of feeling and emotion. Robert loves his work and he's grateful to the hundreds of couples he has photographed.
